Venner Plastering
We provide skimcoat plaster finish on walls and ceilings using veneer plaster. This creates a smooth finished area which is ready to paint with no sanding required. We can also provide many other finishes; textured ceilings are very common in new homes.
Repairs
Repairing of cracks in old plaster walls and ceilings and replacing small areas with new board and plaster. Most of this work is done on old horse hair plaster.
SkimCoat
This is something that is done over old walls and ceilings that are already structurally sound but need a new finish. It is done by firstly making sure all the surfaces are free and clear of dirt and old wallpaper residue. Once the area is clean, we apply a bonding agent which also acts as a sealer. The next step is to coat the surface with a level coat of plaster and let it harden; this is the new base. The final step is to finish it with veneer plaster so it is all smooth, or we can also texture at this stage.
